ELIZABETH PHILLIPS

Elizabeth is a people-first HR leader with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as Vice President of HR and Administration at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL). She is responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives to align MERL’s people strategy with its research mission and Mitsubishi Electric’s global initiatives. Elizabeth plays a key role in talent development including overseeing the recruitment of over 150 PhD researchers and interns annually and fostering a culture where top talent can thrive. As a cross-cultural leadership coach, she is committed to building inclusive, high-performing teams.

Outside the lab, she’s an avid tennis player and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, hiking, and walks on the National Seashore on Cape Cod, with her rescue golden doodle, ZuZu. Her passion for nature reflects her commitment to well-being, balance, and lifelong learning, values that guide her leadership and coaching.
