Ana Bernardes has more than 25 years of experience in HR, the last 15 in HR leadership roles in globally recognised consulting and chemicals companies with both national and international roles.
With a degree in Human Resources Management, Ana Bernardes began her career at Deloitte Consulting in 1999. By 2005, she was leading talent attraction efforts in Portugal and Angola and represented Portugal in the Deloitte Global Recruitment Council being in the 1st European project for selecting top talent students across EMEA partnering with IMD.
In 2007, Ana Bernardes moved to Accenture, where she stayed 15 years and from Recruitment & Learning Lead, Service delivery Lead, Ana ggrew to Country HR Director in 2018. Her achievements include restructuring talent acquisition and establishing a large operations center in Portugal, contributing to a 53% growth in headcount and operational efficiency.
Ana also had a small experience in a scale-up company as Global VP of People in 2022, supporting the company’s global expansion and IPO preparation and later that year she decided to created her own consulting practice but felt that her mission in HR was really to be part of great business and process transformations and joined Syensqo in 2024 as the Global Head of GBS HR Service Line.
Currently Ana leads a team of 140 people spread across the 3 service Centers in Lisbon – where she is based, Curitiba and Bangkok and other locations in the world where Syensqo operates. Her mission is to daily operate HR against the Syensqo GBS Vision which is to ” Advance Syensqo growth, driving value at scale through innovative service portfolio, operational excellence and a seamless experience, powered by people and data.
