Prior to joining Empower, Valerie served in C-level roles at Tesla and Handshake. At Tesla, she helped scale the workforce from 50,000 to more than 100,000 employees, led global compliance, and launched workforce programs that positioned people as a central driver of innovation. At Handshake, she served as Chief Talent Engagement Officer, advising CEOs, CHROs, and public sector leaders on attracting and developing AI-fluent early talent.
