Uzair Qadeer

Uzair Qadeer is Chief People Officer at the BBC, where he leads the organisation’s global people agenda, overseeing all human resources capabilities across the BBC Group. Since joining in 2023, he has been driving cultural transformation, organisational change, and the long-term employee experience.

Previously, Uzair served as Chief People Officer at Carbon Health, guiding the company through a period of rapid growth and transformation. He also held executive leadership roles at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, where he was the company’s first Chief Diversity Officer and a member of the executive committee, building a global inclusion strategy that enhanced engagement and innovation.

Earlier in his career, Uzair worked in Deloitte’s Human Capital Consulting practice and held leadership roles at Bristol Myers Squibb across the U.S. and Europe. A recognised thought leader and public speaker, he regularly shares insights on employee experience, inclusion, and the future of HR.
