Njabulo Mashigo is an accomplished HR Executive with 24 years of experience in the Human Resources discipline. With a proven track record of leading diverse teams and driving growth and transformation; she has dubbed herself a People Strategist & Culture Evangelist.
From #AlextoAdam (Alexandra township to Amsterdam, Netherlands) and all the way back again, Njabulo’s career is one of humble beginnings and boasts international reach, spanning across three key industries. She started her career in FMCG at Unilever, concluding her stint there as Talent Manager. She then moved into the Finance and Regulatory Sector as the HR Director for both the National Treasury of South Africa, followed by the JSE. Njabulo then joined Heineken, where she ultimately became the HR Director & Talent Lead for their Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe opcos.
She is currently the HR Director for Vodacom South Africa (VSA), the largest market in the Group. Her most recent accolade is leading VSA towards being the #1 Top Employer in South Africa for 2024, 2025 and 2026 – the first such achievement in the market’s history. She is also the CHRO of the Year 2022 and has undoubtedly solidified her place as a formidable HR Executive.
