Njabulo Mashigo was appointed Executive Director: Human Resources at Vodacom South Africa in February 2021. In this role, she leads the organisation’s people strategy, driving talent, culture, and leadership initiatives that support Vodacom’s business objectives in a fast-evolving digital and telecommunications landscape.
In addition to her executive role, Njabulo serves as a Non-Executive Director on several boards, including Mezzanine and IOT.nxt, where she contributes her deep expertise in human capital, governance, and organisational leadership.
Njabulo began her HR career at Unilever as a Trainee HR Officer and progressed to the role of Talent Manager, gaining strong experience in talent development and workforce planning. She later joined South Africa’s National Treasury, where she served as Chief Director of Human Resources, further strengthening her leadership capabilities within the public sector.
Following her tenure at National Treasury, Njabulo held senior HR leadership roles as HR Director at both the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and Heineken, where she played a key role in shaping people strategies within complex, high-performance environments Njabulo holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and is recognised for her strategic approach to HR leadership, transformation, and governance.
