Anja Schmitz is a Professor of Human Resource Management and Organization at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, having previously held a professorship in HRM at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences.
Her teaching and research focus on learning and development, learning ecosystems, AI in HR, new work and learning, organizational development, employee experience, and leadership. Alongside her academic work, she advises organizations on work-related learning, learning empowerment, and organizational development, closely connecting research with practice.
She has been recognized as one of the “40 Leading Minds in HR” by Personalmagazin for her contributions to research and the HR community. Anja Schmitz studied Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Heidelberg University and Louisiana State University (USA) and has professional experience in management consulting and the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in HR learning and organizational development.
