Ulrich Tennie


Global Head CoE People & Culture Development – SWISS RE


Ulrich Tennie has more than 25 years of experience leading and supporting business transformations from a people perspective. He is currently the Global Head CoE People & Culture Development for Swiss Re, a global re (insurance) company based in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role he has been a driving force for the company’s agile transformation, leading on the topics of cultural change, capability building and employee experience. He also has been co-leading the redesign of Swiss Re’s approach towards talent management and learning. Prior to Swiss Re Ulrich worked for global health care company Novartis where he held HR leadership positions at global, regional and country levels.

Ulrich has a background in strategy and HR consulting with Monitor Deloitte and Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) respectively, having been based in the firms’ Frankfurt, London and New York offices. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management from ESB Business School (Reutlingen / London) and a Masters degree in Industrial Relations from London School of Economics.
